Variations on a theme

If you don’t have many flowers, if you want to spend less on plants (even if they are inexpensive, they do add up), a smaller arrangement in a simple basket (second hand wicker basket here) looks just as pretty as a big one.

Used as a centre piece on a table or as shown in my last post on my entrance dresser, the arrangement looks fresh and pretty, but placed on a smaller surface like a chair, where it takes up most of the space, the arrangement takes on a bit more importance (no longer looks like a small piece, floating on a big surface). An old and beaten up chair, just like a simple new chair will be pretty and charming.

If you want to make a seasonal decoration, you can also throw in an Easter bunny, on the floor next to the chair or next to the basket, depending on the scale of the bunny or the space available.

Le contraste entre le “vieilli” de la chaise et l’éclat de ces fleurs mets en scène la beauté de cette photo. On ne se lasse pas de la regarder. J’imagine que la réalité doit nous faire sourire, nous combler!
